When James Cagney got the lead in 'The Public Enemy' I wasnt going to play second fiddle, I immediately auditioned for 'little caesar' and got the starring role, which is alway falsely accredited to my old pal Eddy Robinson, I spent hours in the make up department being bashed with an ugly stick, to say the least.

In this film I played a very young Dickie Attenborough in this Graham Greene adaption, The 'First Doctor Who' William Hartnell said of my character 'what a little bastard trying lure that girl to go first in a false suicide pact', needless to say I never wished to ever play Dickie Attenborough again not even years later in Jurrasic Park.

Another excellent film also famous for it's catchy theme music and the fact despite being central to the plot as a carismatic but ruthless racketeer (who has no qualms selling potententially lethal stolen medicine to unknowing parents on the post war black market) my actual screen time in this film is quite minimal, ooooooh the cookoo clock.

I was starting to get type cast as the ruthless gangster, racketeer or villain so I went into drag for my next role to offset this, In Hitchcocks original brilliant psycho.
